LG ELECTION: OGUN ASSEMBLY TASKS OGSIEC TO FOLLOW CONSTITUTION, ELECTORAL GUIDELINES

Ogun State House of Assembly has charged the Management of the State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) to adhere strictly to its electoral guidelines in the November 16th Local Government election in the State.  The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, gave the charge today during an interface between OGSIEC and the State Inter-party Advisory Council ( IPAC) led by its Chairman, Comrade Sanyaolu Abayomi at the instance of the State House of Assembly. The Speaker in company of his colleague-lawmakers, enjoined the management of OGSIEC to ensure that all the process leading to the election be in accordance with the nation's constitution and the State electoral act, assuring that the Assembly was ready to collaborate with the Commission to ensure a free and fair election. STAKEHOLDERS APPLAUD GOV ABIODUN, OGUN ASSEMBLY ON PROPOSED POWER SECTOR LAW

Stakeholders who attended the public hearing  conducted today by the Ogun State House of Assembly on a bill aimed at improving electricity generation, transmission and distribution within the State have commended the State Government and the Assembly for putting together such a laudable legislation meant to address long time energy challenge being confronted by the people and business operators and investors.
