OGUN ASSEMBLY MARKS ANNIVERSARY OF LEADERSHIP CHANGE, PASSES ELEVEN BILLS, 42 RESOLUTIONS

As the Ogun State House of Assembly today marks the first year of change of its leadership, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide says the Assembly has passed a total of eleven bills, while over 42 motions were passed into Resolutions for the promotion of peace, order and good governance in the State. Rt. Hon. Elemide disclosed this, while fielding questions from journalists on the  achievements of the 10th Assembly under his watch at the Conference Hall of the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta. He explained that over 90 petitions were received within the period on  issues affecting the various constituencies across the State, saying that majority of the issues were on land-grabbing activities. OGUN ASSEMBLY PASSES RESOLUTION SEEKING TAKE-OFF OF ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES AT STATE POLYTECHNIC, IPOKIA

Ogun State House of Assembly has passed a resolution calling on the State Government to consider expediting actions through the allocation of necessary funds for the rehabilitation and operational take-off of the State Polytechnic situated at Ipokia, so as to ensure the completion of all existing facilities by the government and the accreditation of academic programmes of the institution by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) for the immediate commencement of academic activities at the institution. OGHA INVITES MGT TEAMS OF EDUCATION MINISTRY, OTHERS, EULOGISES LATE REPS MEMBER ONANUGA, K1'S MOTHER

Ogun State House of Assembly has issued an invitation to political heads and management teams of the State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology led by the Commissioner, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) the State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Head of Technical and Vocational Education Board and the State Civil Service Commission. OGUN ASSEMBLY PASSES RESOLUTION AGAINST RECKLESSNESS OF TRAILER DRIVERS, LAUDS GOV ABIODUN ON INFRASTRUCTURE

Ogun State House of Assembly today passed a resolution requesting the State Ministries of Transportation and Environment alongside other relevant agencies to immediately design stringent measures to regulate the movements and activities of trailer drivers to ensure compliance with road safety regulations to prevent avoidable road accidents that of often lead to loss of lives and properties in the State. The passage of the resolution titled: "  H.R. 754 The Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, has admonished members of staff of the Assembly to renew their commitment to the ideals of public service with a view to further contributing meaningfully to the activities of the State Legislature, as an arm of government that represents the interest of the common man for the overall development of the State. Elemide, gave the admonition during an inter-denominational prayer with the Management and Staff of the Assembly to mark the begining of the new year held at the Conference Hall of the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
