OGHA PASSES RESOLUTION REQUESTING RELEASE OF AGO-IWOYE COMMUNITY HOSPITAL TO OOUTH FOR BETTER HEALTH CARE

Ogun State House of Assembly today passed a resolution seeking an urgent need for the release of the Ago-Iwoye Community Hospital to the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu to for effective management and revitalization in rendering quality health care delivery to the people of Ago-Iwoye and environment. The passage of the resolution sponsored by Hon. Olusegun Kaka Odunuga, followed the motion for the adoption of debate by lawmakers moved by the sponsor, seconded by the Minority Leader Lukman Adeleye and supported by the whole House through a unanimous voice vote. Opening debate on the motion, Hon. Odunuga explained that the hospital, when fully functional, would serve the healthcare needs of Ago-Iwoye residents and adjoining communities; saying that it was the decision of all stakeholders and residents of his constituency to push for the release of the facility to OOUTH  for better health care service delivery. OGHA INVITES FORMER AGRIC COMMISSIONER, OTHERS OVER ILLEGAL DEDUCTION OF VICTIMS OF ANCHOR BORROWERS FUNDS

Ogun State House of Assembly Committee on Agriculture, chaired by Hon. Waliu Owode, has invited a former Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Adeola Odedina, alongside the Chairman and Secretary of the National Cassava Growers Association, as well as the immediate past executive members of the Association, Mr. Ilori and Mr. Segun Adewunmi, alongside the Project Manager of the Anchor Borrowers Programme to appear before the State lawmakers next Tuesday, 28th of October, 2025. The invitees are expected to clarify issues surrounding the implementation of the defunct Anchor Borrowers Programme in the State as part of the ongoing investigation by the Assembly arising from the petition received from the victims of the programmes, whose personal fund were illegally deducted by the Wema Bank without benefiting from the programme. OGUN GOVERNOR COMMENDS SPEAKER ELEMIDE, SAYS CONSTITUENCY PROJECTS COMPLEMENT ISEYA AGENDA

Ogun State Government  says the approval of Statewide Constituency projects remained a reflection of the current administration's  open and collaborative approach, geared towards bringing governance closer to the people and improving lives at the grassroots. The State Governor, Prince Dapo represented by his deputy,  Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, disclosed this while commissioning Constituency Projects including Rural Electrification project at Obaasa Ajegunle Mile 6, Perimeter Fencing and rehabilitation of blocks of classroom amongst others facilited by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Elemide Oludaisi, across Odeda State Constituency.
