OGHA PASSES RESOLUTION REQUESTING DIGITALISATION OF STATE LAWS, AS PROJECT CONTINUITY BILL SCALES FIRST READING

Ogun State House of Assembly has passed a resolution requesting a comprehensive compilation, publication and digitalisation of all existing laws of the State to enhance accessibility, preservation and revenue generation, even as the “Ogun State Development Planning and Project Community Law, 2025” was read for the first time during the plenary. The passage of the resolution, titled: "H.R. No. 155/OG/ 2025- The Need For Compilation, Publication and Digitalisation of Laws of Ogun State for Accessibility, Preservation and Revenue Generation," followed the motion moved by a member representating Ijebu North East  State Constituency and the sponsor of the resolution, Hon. OGHA CALLS FOR URGENT MEASURES TO STRENGTHEN SECURITY NETWORKS, INTERVENES IN LAND TAKEOVER BY MILITARY

The Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, has called on  the State Government to take immediate action on security concerns raised during plenary, just at he appealed for the enforcement of existing laws and earlier resolutions passed by the Assembly to safeguard residents and citizens of the State. He further urged the State Governor to urgently implement the security recommendations reached at the South-West Governors’ Meeting in Ibadan alongside that of the Southern Governors’ Forum meeting held in Iperu on November 26. OGUN ASSEMBLY PASSES RESOLUTION REQUESTING URGENT RESUSCITATION OF APOJE FARMS, INVITES AGRIC, FORESTRY COMMISSIONERS

Ogun State House of Assembly has passed a resolution calling for the immediate revitalization of Apoje Farms in Ijebu-Igbo; just as the Assembly has invited some key government officials within the agricultural and forestry sectors over the management of farm settlements and government-owned plantations and forest reserves across the State. The resolution followed a debate on a motion moved by the sponsor and member representing Ijebu North I State Constituency, Hon. Rasheed Kashamu, titled: “Need for the Revamp of Apoje Farms and Comprehensive Review of Farm Settlements Management in Ogun State", seconded by Hon. ABEOKUTA- PAPALANTO-ADO-ODO/OTA ROAD RECONSTRUCTION: CONTRACTOR ATTRIBUTES TRAFFIC GRIDLOCK TO RAINFALL, PROMISES SPEEDY COMPLETION

  Craneburg Construction Company, the contractor handling the reconstruction of the 69km Abeokuta- Papalanto- Ado-Odo/ Ota Road has  apologized for the traffic situation along the Toll Gate,  Itori- Papalanto portions which was said to have been caused by persistent rainfall. The Area Manager, Craneburg, Mr. Nicholas Mfarrej, gave the apology during an interface with the State House of Assembly members led by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, represented by his deputy, Hon. Bolanle Lateefat Ajayi at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan Abeokuta. He said that perennial rainfall had slowed down the progress and damaged some portions of the road; which were being reconstructed, assuring the lawmakers that the company remained committed to global standard in road construction; while emphasising the  same global construction standards across all its projects and promised improved performance as the rains subside.
