OGUN LAWMAKERS COMMEND ELEMIDE AT SECOND ANNIVERSARY PLENARY, REAFFIRM UNITY

As the 10th Legislature in Ogun State marks the second anniversary of change of its leadership, members of the Assembly have commended the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide and reaffirmed their unity of purpose in giving the best Legislative service to the State. The members took turn to laud Rt. Hon. Elemide during a Special plenary commemorating the second anniversary at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta. Speaking, the Deputy Speaker and member representing Yewa South State Constituency, Hon. Bolanle Lateefat Ajayi, lauded her co-lawmakers for their unity of purpose,  while appreciating the Speaker for his transparent leadership, and acknowledged Governor Dapo Abiodun’s support for the legislative arm. On his part, the Minority Leader and member representing Odogbolu State Constituency, Hon. OGUN ASSEMBLY ANNOUNCES NEW MINORITY WHIP, LAUDS FOUNDING FATHERS AS STATE CELEBRATS 50TH ANNIVERSARY

  Following the recent defection of a former Minority Whip, Hon. Rasheed Kashamu, from the People's Democratic Party, to the All Progressives Congress, the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, today announced the resolution of the Minority caucus, intimating the Assembly on his replacement with a member representing Ogun Waterside State Constituency, Hon. Samisudeen Lawal, as the new Minority Whip of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The announcement was made in line with parliamentary procedures to ensure the smooth function and proper representation of the Minority caucus in the House. In his remarks under the motion for adjournment, the Minority Leader, Hon. Lukman Adeleye, expressed appreciation to the Speaker for consistently upholding the ethics and tenets of the legislative institution and for recognising and safeguarding the rights of the minority caucus.
