OGHA PASSES EDUCATION AND SKILLS TRUST FUND BILL, AS BOUNDARY COMMISSION, GEOINFORMATICS BILLS SCALE SECOND READING
Ogun State House of Assembly has passed a bill seeking to establish the the State Education and Skills Trust Fund, following the conclusion of its third reading at plenary, marking a significant step towards strengthening education infrastructure and skills development in the State. The bill, titled: "H.B. No. 034/OG/2024 – A Bill for a Law to Establish the Ogun State Education and Skills Trust Fund for Rejuvenating Education Infrastructure and Facilitating Skills and for other Connected Purposes", was considered and adopted after the presentation of the report by the Chairman, House Committee on Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Yusuf Amosun. Amosun later moved the motion for the adoption of the report, seconded by Hon. Olakunle Sobukanla and was supported by the entire House members through a voice vote, after which the bill was read and adopted clause-by-clause before the Committee of the Whole House.
