PRESENTATION OF OGUN 2025 APPROPRIATION BILL TO OGHA POSTPONED

The Presentation of Ogun State 2025 Appropriation Bill to the State House of Assembly by the State Governor, Prince ( Dr.) Dapo Abiodun, CON, earlier scheduled for Friday, 29th November. 2024 has been postponed to a later date. A release signed by the Clerk/ Head of Legislative Service, Mr. Sakiru Adebakin stated that a new date for the presentation of the annual budget would be announced later. The Clerk said the Assembly regretted the inconveniencies arising from the postponement.

OGHA COMMENDS GOV. ABIODUN ON COMMISSIONING OF OJODU ABIODUN-AKUTE ROAD, REDESIGNING OF ASSEMBLY COMPLEX

  Ogun State House of Assembly has commended, Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration for the construction Ojodu Abiodun-Denro-Ishasi-Akute Road, which was commissioned last week.  The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, while commending the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for the commissioning of the road, in response to the presentation of a member representing Ifo 2, State Constituency, Hon. Fatiu Folawewo, also pleaded that such gestures be extended to other constituencies across the State for more widespread infrastructural development. Earlier in his presentation, Hon. Salami had lauded the Governor for his swift intervention in completing the road; acknowledging that the Governor had awarded the contract for the construction of another set of two roads in his constituency. GOV. ABIODUN PRESENTS 2025 BUDGET TO OGUN ASSEMBLY ON FRIDAY, AS RESOLUTION AGAINST DRUG ABUSE PASSED

Ogun State House of Assembly has acknowledged a correspondence from the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun indicating his intention to present the Year 2025 Appropriation bill before the State lawmakers on Friday 29th November at 10.00am. OGHA ASSURES PUBLIC COMPLAINTS COMMISSION OF SUPPORT TOWARDS ACHIEVING OMBUDSMAN'S ROLE

Ogun State House of Assembly has assured the Federal Office of the Public Complaints Commission in the State of necessary legislative support towards sensitizing the people on the need to take advantage of the Commission to address their complaints against any public or private sector officials as part of its ombudsman's responsibility. The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, gave the assurance, while playing host to the management of the Commission led by the newly appointed Federal Commissioner in charge of the State, Mr. Morakinyo Akinleye, who was on an advocacy visit to the State lawmakers, at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta. Oludaisi Elemide, says continous training of legislative staff members is critical to enhancing quality service delivery meant to achieve the vision and goals of the legislature, thereby contributing to the advancement of good governance in any democracy.   Rt. INVESTMENT IN TECHNICAL, VOCATIONAL EDUCATION CRUCIAL TO NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT- OGUN SPEAKER

Oludaisi Elemide, has underscored the need for more investment in technical and vocational training for the State and by extension the nation to have the needed manpower for technological and infrastructural development. Elemide stated this while playing host to the delegation from the Ahmaddiyyah Muslim Jama'at of Nigeria on the inauguration of Masroor International Technical College ( MITC) sponsored by the international Ahmadi Architect and Engineers Association ( IAAAE) at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan Abeokuta. OGUN HEALTH INSURANCE SCHEME, LAUDABLE INITIATIVE FOR QUALITY HEALTH CARE DELIVERY- OGHA COMMITTEE

Ogun State House of Assembly through its Committee on Health has described the State health insurance scheme, as a laudable initiative that would help deliver qualitative and comprehensive health care service with ease to the people. The Committee led by Hon. Wahab Haruna stated this during an advocacy meeting with a delegation from the State Health Insurance Agency (OGSHIA), led by its Executive Secretary Dr. Afolabi Dosunmu, at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta. Hon. Haruna in company of his co-lawmakers noted that the scheme would assist a lot of people in the formal and informal sectors of the State economy to have access to health service.
