OGHA COMMENDS GOV. ABIODUN ON COMMISSIONING OF OJODU ABIODUN-AKUTE ROAD, REDESIGNING OF ASSEMBLY COMPLEX

 

Ogun State House of Assembly has commended, Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration for the construction Ojodu Abiodun-Denro-Ishasi-Akute Road, which was commissioned last week. 

The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, while commending the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for the commissioning of the road, in response to the presentation of a member representing Ifo 2, State Constituency, Hon. Fatiu Folawewo, also pleaded that such gestures be extended to other constituencies across the State for more widespread infrastructural development.

Earlier in his presentation, Hon. Salami had lauded the Governor for his swift intervention in completing the road; acknowledging that the Governor had awarded the contract for the construction of another set of two roads in his constituency.

He expressed his constituents' appreciation for the support of the Speaker and his colleagues, whose collective call led to the construction of the roads.

In a related development, the Assembly has applauded Prince Dapo Abiodun for the on-going redesigning of the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, ahead of the Friday 29th budget presentation by the Governor.

The commendation came shortly after the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bolanle Ajayi, presented the report of the Adhoc Committee monitoring the ongoing renovation/ redesigning of Assembly Complex, so as to adequately prepare for the forthcoming budget presentation.

According to the report, the Committee was satisfied with the level of the progress achieved on the project, it however urged the contractor handling the project to speed up its completion.

428 OGUN PILGRIMS RETURN FROM HAJJ 2025, LAND SAFELY IN NIGERIA

The first batch of Ogun State pilgrims who participated in the 2025 Hajj exercise have safely arrived back in Nigeria. The returnees, numbering 428, touched down at exactly 4:28 p.m. Nigerian time (6:28 p.m. Saudi time), following a successful take-off from Jeddah Airport at 12:07 p.m. Saudi time (10:07 a.m. Nigerian time). This development was confirmed in a statement personally signed by the Amirul Hajj and leader of the Ogun State contingent, Alhaji Prince Samsudeen Adebayo Apelogun, who described the return as a significant milestone in the State’s 2025 Hajj operations. OGHA DIRECTS OJIBAS NIGERIA LTD, I.J. AMAKA TO SUSPEND MINING OPERATIONS OVER ROAD, ENVIRONMENTAL DEGRADATION

The Ogun State House of Assembly Committee on Environment has directed Ojibas Nigeria Limited and I.J. Amaka Group of Companies at Elegan Progressive Community in Obafemi Owode Local Government, to suspend their operations forthwith, following a petition over alleged illegal mining operations and environmental degradation. The Committee members led by the Chairman, Hon. Samisudeen Lawal, carried out an on-the-spot assessment of the mining sites in response to the petition addressed to the Speaker of the House titled: “Petition Against Illegal Mining Operations of Alhaji Tajudeen Abioye of Ojibas Nigeria Limited and I.J.
