HOUSING: OGUN ALLOCATES HOMES TO FIFTY ADDITIONAL SUBSCRIBERS AT KOBAPE PHASE 3

In a concerted effort towards ensuring the delivery of affordable housing, the Ogun State Government has allocated two (2) and three (3) bedroom bungalows to additional Fifty (50) subscribers in the Prince Court Estate, Kobape Phase 3. The allocation according to a statement signed by the Commissioner for Housing Housing, Jamiu Akande Omoniyi, on Tuesday, was in fulfilment of the promise by the ministry to bridge the gap of shortfalls in the allocation of housing units in the Phase 2 of the housing scheme. He explained that the new set of allotees needed to be given priority as they were part of those subscribers who missed out in the allocation of about 100 units of homes carried out mid-year. Ogun State House of Assembly has called on relevant agencies and stakeholders in charge of palliative and other public spirited individuals interested in giving back to the people to always take preventive measures in controlling crowd associated with such to gestures to avert the recent stampede incidents that occurred in Oyo and Anambra States as well as Abuja. The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, gave the charge while responding to the presentation of the Minority Leader Lukman Adeleye, who spoke under matters of public urgent importance during today's plenary at the Assembly, Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta. OGUN MINISTRY TO COMMENCE NEW PHASES OF HOUSING PROJECTS, TO GENERATE OVER N10BN NEXT YEAR

In furtherance of its efforts in delivering affordable housing, the Ogun State Government through the State Ministry of Housing has stated that plans were underway for the construction of a total of 255 housing units in different locations across the State including Kobape Phase IV, GRA Phase II and Aviation Village Phase II. The State Commissioner for Housing, Jagunmolu Jamiu Omoniyi, disclosed this while taking turn to defend the 2025 budget proposal of the Ministry and that of the State Housing Project before the members of the State House of Assembly Committee on Finance and Appropriation led by Hon Musefiu Lamidi at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta. The Ogun State House of Assembly has called on the State Ministry of Environment to begin an immediate enforcement against those who display their ware on roads thereby causing gridlocks on the roads in the State. The State lawmakers made the call today, while the Management of the State Ministry of Environment led by the Commissioner, Mr. Ola Oresanya appeared before the members of the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation chaired by Hon. Lamidi Musefiu to defend the 2025 budget proposals of the Ministry. The House Committee Chairman, joined by his Environment counterpart, Hon. OGUN MDAS TO BEGIN DEFENCE OF 2025 APPROPRIATION ON MONDAY

Ogun State House of Assembly has fixed Monday 16th December, 2024 as the commencement date for the defence of the year 2025 budget proposals by Ministries, Departments and Agencies of Government in the State.  A release by the Clerk / Head of Legislative Service, Mr. Sakiru Adebakin, indicated that the exercise which is in line with Section 121, Sub-section II of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (As Amended), would be declared open by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, while the Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Hon. Musefiu Lamidi, would preside over the session through the various standing committees of the Assembly. Members of the Ogun State House of Assembly today began the budget retreat with an interface with the State Commissioner for Budget and Planning, with a view to dissecting the various components of the 2025 State Budget of ' Hope and Prosperity' preparatory to its passage for the advancement of the State economy and benefits of the people of the State. OGHA REQUESTS FG TO RECONSTRUCT EBUTE-IGBOORO/ BENIN REPUBLIC ROAD, DEMANDS REHABILITATION OF STATE HOSPITAL

Ogun State House of Assembly has passed a resolution calling on the Federal Government through the Federal Ministry of Works to reconstruct the Ebute-Igbooro, / Oja-Odan/ Pobe International road connecting Nigeria and the Republic of Benin. The passage of the resolution followed the adoption of a motion moved by the Sponsor, who is also a member representing Yewa North II State Constituency, Hon. Wahab Haruna, seconded by Hon.
