OGUN TO BEGIN DISBURSEMENT OF BUSINESS GRANTS TO ARTISANS OTHERS, AS OGHA APPRAISES SPORTS MINISTRY'S PERFORMANCE

    The Ministry of Community Development and Cooperatives says it has begun the registration process preparatory to the disbursement of N500m worth of business and industrial grants to artisans and small-scale business owners in the State. The Commissioner in charge of the Ministry, Mr. Ademola Balogun disclosed this while appearing before the members of State House of Assembly Committee on Community Development and Cooperatives led by Hon. Dickson Awolaja during the ongoing 2025 mid-year budget performance appraisal at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta. Mr. Balogun, while acknowledging Prince Dapo Abiodun led-administration's efforts in empowering the people to aid socio-economic development and enhance self sufficiency, assured that the process leading to the disbursement of the funds would be transparent as it would accommodate all categories of beneficiaries including artisans and small scale business owners. OGHA COMMENDS MINISTRY OF FORESTRY ON IMPROVED REVENUE GENERATION

Ogun State House of Assembly through its Committee on Forestry today continued with the ongoing 2025 mid-year budget performance appraisal as with a commendation to the Ministry of Forestry for improved revenue performance. The Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Folawewo Salami, who led other members of the Committee on the assessment session, called on the the management of the Ministry to consolidate on the existing achievements by increasing its revenue generation to Government coffers. Hon. Salami also challenged the Ministry to put more strategies in place to bolster forest conservation efforts and improve field operations for better performance. The Chairman in company of Honourables Musefiu Lamidi, Babatunde Tella, Olakunle Sobukanla and Yusuf Amosun also applauded the Ministry on its sustainable and effective resource management.

OGUN ASSEMBLY PASSES RESOLUTION BACKING YOUNG AGRO SERVICES IN LAND DISPUTE, REJECTS CLAIMS BY BANJOKO, OYEMOMI

Ogun State House of Assembly has passed a resolution backing a firm, 'Young Agro Services Ltd', who was a petitioner in a land dispute, dismissing the claims of Engr. Victor Banjoko and Alhaji Kola Oyemomi over a parcel of land located along the Abeokuta–Sagamu expressway at Idi Tank Village, near Asun-Siun in Obafemi/Owode Local Government Area. The passage of the resolution followed the presentation of the report of House Committee on Lands and Housing presented by its Chairman, Hon. Damilola Soneye, who thereafter moved for its adoption, seconded by Hon. Samsideen Lawal and supported by the entire House. Consequently, the Majority Leader Hon. OGUN ASSEMBLY COMMENDS OFFICE OF HEAD OF SERVICE ON TRAINING OF WORKFORCE, OTHERS

Members of the State House of Assembly Committee on Establishment and Public Service Matters, led by Hon. OOUTH GENERATES OVER N2.9BN, COMPLETION OF TRAUMA CENTRE IN SIX MONTHS

Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH), Sagamu, has recorded major achievements in its 2025 mid-year budget performance, by generating over N1.378bn as revenue for six month including a donation of a Trauma Centre with equipment worth  over N1.603bn within the period. The CMD of OOUTH, Dr. Oluwabunmi Fatungase, disclosed this while taking turn to present the achievements of the teaching hospital before the State House of Assembly Committee on Health led by Hon. Wahab Haruna during the ongoing 2025 mid-year budget performance appraisal at the State House of Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta. OGUN ASSEMBLY TO COMMENCE 2025 MID-YEAR BUDGET PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL NEXT MONDAY

  The Ogun State House of Assembly has rescheduled its mid-year budget performance assessment to Monday, the 28th of July, 2025, starting from 10.00am prompt. A release by the Deputy Clerk I of the House, Barr. ( Mrs.) 'Funmi Adeyemi, stated that " the exercise, which is part of the constitutional responsibility of the legislative arm, is meant to assess the level of compliance of Ministries, Departments and Agencies of Government to the State's 2025 Appropriation Law, with a view to ensuring value for government resources in project implementation". The release added that the shift in the commencement of the exercise was as a result of the just suspended industrial action by the State workers. The release therefore directed all Heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of government to attend the exercise in line with the revised schedule commencing from Monday, 28th July, 2025 .

OGHA INVITES ONE ALHAJI KOLA OYEMOMI OVER ALLEGATION OF FORCEFUL TRESPASS, OTHERS
