STUDENTS' CLASH: ALUMNI GROUP ASSURES OF STAKEHOLDERS ENGAGEMENT TOWARDS INSTILLING DISCIPLINE
Following the news making round on the alleged clash involving some students in Abeokuta, the Baptist Boys High School Old Boys' Association (BBHSOBA), says it has conducted its independent investigation and found out that no life was lost in the incident.
To this end, the association has assured the general public of stepping up measures with the support of concerned stakeholders towards promoting discipline and orderliness amongst the students of its alma mater, while ensuring that appropriate sanctions would be melted on erring students in any unlawful act.
The association in a statement by its National Secretary, Prof. Gabriel Dedeke noted that " investigations carried out by the Police and the Ministry of Education Science and Technology, showed that the report as broadcasted from several media houses and outlets were false as there were no gunshots and nobody was found in possession of any firearm and also that no life was lost"
"The BBHSOBA from its separate investigations also confirmed that the alleged gunshot battle and loss of lives did not happen.
The BBHSOBA in conjunction with the School Management hereby wishes to assure the general public of maintaining conducive learning environment for the students and further ensure that erring students involved in any fracas will be appropriately dealt with"
