OGUN ASSEMBLY PUBLIC ACCOUNT COMMITTEE COMMENDS MINISTRY ON HOUSING DELIVERY
Ogun State House of Assembly Committee on Public Accounts and Anti-corruption has examined the 2020 financial records of the State Ministry of Housing, commending the management team for the various housing projects delivered across the State.
The Chairman of the Committee, Musefiu Lamidi, gave the commendation during the appearance of the Ministry's team led by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Housing, Hon. Tajudeen Egunjobi in continuation of the consideration of Audit report held at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
The Chairman in company of other members including Abdul Bashir Oladunjoye, Abayomi Fasuwa, Yusuf Amosun and Kunle Sobukanla implored them to further ensure improved adherence to financial regulations through proper retirement of payment vouchers, classification of expenditures, updating fixed assets and contractors' register.
According to the Chairman, the compliance with the principle of accountability and transparency, especially in its expenditures would help give value for government resources.
