OGUN PDP ASSEMBLY CANDIDATE WITHDRAWS FROM CONTEST, DECLARES SUPPORT FOR APC

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Ikenne State Constituency, Hon. Babajide Owodunni has withdrawn from the contest for the forthcoming election schedule for next Saturday.

This was just as Owodunni affirmed his unwavering support for the candidacy of the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and the incumbent member of the State Assembly, Olakunle Sobukanla in the Saturday polls.

Owodunni, in a letter addressed to National Headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) explained that his decision to voluntary withdraw from the Assembly's race was "as a result of the frustration given to him by the PDP leaders and the Gubernatorial candidate after his emergence as the PDP Assembly Candidate at the primary Election."

He thereafter assured of working assiduously towards supporting the candidates of the All Progressive Congress in the forthcoming elections including the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
