OGUN TEACHERS CONGRATULATE ABIODUN, URGE HIM ON FULFILLMENT OF ELECTORAL PROMISES

Ogun State Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), has congratulated the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun on his re-election victory at the last Saturday gubernatorial polls. 

The Union in a congratulatory letter signed by the State Chairman, Akinola Abiodun and the Secretary, Oyelere Samson urged the Governor to see his victory as a call to do more and serve the people diligently.

According to them,"the celebrated victory was divinely arranged by the Supreme Being who always allows the spiritual to control the physical. Your impacts and efforts to satisfy the insatiable that couldn't see beyond personal gains had been rewarded by God Almighty.

"Therefore, the Union urges Your Excellency to see this victory as a call to do more and serve the people diligently. Now is the time to work the talk without reneging on any of your promises as a man of his words", the statement partly reads. 

The Union assured the present administration of her unflinching support towards recording appreciable achievement that would further imprint its lofty ideas in the hearts of the people.

They prayed that the second term reign shall enjoy divine successes across the State.

428 OGUN PILGRIMS RETURN FROM HAJJ 2025, LAND SAFELY IN NIGERIA

The first batch of Ogun State pilgrims who participated in the 2025 Hajj exercise have safely arrived back in Nigeria. The returnees, numbering 428, touched down at exactly 4:28 p.m. Nigerian time (6:28 p.m. Saudi time), following a successful take-off from Jeddah Airport at 12:07 p.m. Saudi time (10:07 a.m. Nigerian time). This development was confirmed in a statement personally signed by the Amirul Hajj and leader of the Ogun State contingent, Alhaji Prince Samsudeen Adebayo Apelogun, who described the return as a significant milestone in the State’s 2025 Hajj operations. OGHA DIRECTS OJIBAS NIGERIA LTD, I.J. AMAKA TO SUSPEND MINING OPERATIONS OVER ROAD, ENVIRONMENTAL DEGRADATION

The Ogun State House of Assembly Committee on Environment has directed Ojibas Nigeria Limited and I.J. Amaka Group of Companies at Elegan Progressive Community in Obafemi Owode Local Government, to suspend their operations forthwith, following a petition over alleged illegal mining operations and environmental degradation. The Committee members led by the Chairman, Hon. Samisudeen Lawal, carried out an on-the-spot assessment of the mining sites in response to the petition addressed to the Speaker of the House titled: “Petition Against Illegal Mining Operations of Alhaji Tajudeen Abioye of Ojibas Nigeria Limited and I.J.
