OGUN LAWMAKER, AWOLAJA APPEALS FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF FIDIWO- ORILE-OKO ROAD, RECONNECTION OF ELECTRICITY

  A member of the Ogun State House of  Assembly representing Remo North State Constituency, Hon. Dickson Awolaja, has made an appeal to the State Government through the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure for the immediate reconstruction of Fidiwo -Oko Road to make life more comfortable for the residents of the areas. Hon. Awolaja, who made the appeal, when the State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Mr. Ade Akinsanya appeared before the lawmakers for the ongoing budget defence, also requested for the resurfacing of Orile-Oko to Iyankan Road. He sought for immediate re-energization of the electricity from Fidiwo - Orile-Oko and adjourning communities by restoring them to the national grid so as to make the people enjoy social amenities and thus help reawaken business activities in the areas.

APPEAL COURT RE-AFFIRMS SPEAKER OLUOMO'S VICTORY

The court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has re-affirmed the election victory of the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Olakunle Oluomo, representing Ifo 1, State Constituency against his challenger in the last general election, Okikiola Ogundele of the Peoples Democratic Party. The Appeal court equally awarded a N500,000 ( five hundred thousand naira) fine against the appellant. Reacting to his victory, Speaker Oluomo stated that the judgement was a reaffirmation of his victory, which was consistently affirmed from the ballot box to the appellate court. He expressed appreciation to his constituents for believing in his representation, while commending the judiciary for its consistency in the pursuit of justice for the promotion of democracy. He added that the judgement would spur him to do more for his constituents and the State.

OGUN ASSEMBLY COMMENDS MANAGEMENT OF WOSAM ARENA'S INVESTMENT IN AGO-IWOYE

Olakunle has commended the management team of WOSAM ARENA, Ago- Iwoye in the State, led by the Chief Executive Officer, Prince Muphy Adekoya, for his high level of patriotism in establishing a huge investment in his country home with a view to creating job opportunities and advance socio-economic development of the area. The Speaker noted that such great investment was required in rendering quality service and help promote tourism and expose visitors to the rich culture of the people of the State. He acknowledged that the huge investment in the hospitality business would go a long way in marketing the gateway State to the global community, especially tourists and other investors.
