HON. SEGUN KAKA ENGAGES CONSTITUENTS IN TRANSFORMATIVE DEVELOPMENT, DOLES OUT MULTIMILLION-NAIRA GIFTS AND CASH

Ago Iwoye, Ogun State, December 27, 2023 - The Honourable member representing Ijebu North State Constituency ll at the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Segun Kaka, has convened a momentous town hall meeting with various community stakeholders. The town hall meeting which was held on Tuesday, 26th Dec. 2023 at the Ago Iwoye Heritage Town Hall, brought together essential groups including the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the Muslim Community, the Olorituns, the Baales, the Osugbos, the Market Traders, the Ago-Iwoye Central Development Council, and the Ago-Iwoye Youth Forum.

During the meeting, Hon. Segun Kaka distributed multimillion-naira gifts and cash to constituents as part of his commitment to the welfare and development of the people. The gesture is a testament to his dedication to improving the lives of those he represents.

"I am honoured to serve the people of Ijebu North ll State constituency, and I remain committed to driving positive change and progress in our communities. The transformative development initiatives and the presentation of my scorecard are a reflection of our collective efforts to build a better future for all," said Hon. Segun Kaka.


This pivotal event served as Hon. Kaka's post-election meeting with the stakeholders in the constituency, and it proved to be an enriching forum for him to present his many accomplished initiatives. Hon. Kaka's efforts have made a significant impact on the constituency, and his
achievements include:

1. Provision of scholarships: Hon. Kaka has extended educational scholarships to underprivileged students, empowering them with the means to pursue their academic dreams.

2. Job opportunities: Several job seekers have been given valuable employment opportunities as an impact as a result of Hon. Kaka's initiatives, contributing to the economic growth of the community.

3. Road infrastructure enhancement: Hon. Kaka has acquired a substantial bulldozer to improve the road infrastructure in the constituency. This development particularly benefits villagers and local farmers, enabling them to transport their produce more efficiently.

4. Borehole installation and renovation: Hon. Kaka has renovated and installed two boreholes at Oru and facilitated a solar-powered borehole at Oke Erigba in Ago-Iwoye, in partnership with Davidolah Farms. These initiatives address the critical need for clean and accessible water sources in the community.

5. Empowerment of market women: Hon. Kaka has empowered numerous market women in Awa, providing them with the resources and support they need to thrive in their businesses.

6. Contribution to education: Recognizing the importance of quality education, Hon. Kaka generously donated a set of computer systems to Idode Primary School in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, enhancing the learning environment for students.

7. Provision of electricity: Hon. Kaka's contributions include the donation of a 500kVA transformer to the Mariam/Iyalaje, Odosenlu Community in Ago-Iwoye. This significant gesture has alleviated their prolonged period of darkness, improving the overall quality of life for the residents.

Hon. Kaka, with a profound understanding of the undeniable challenges faced by rural communities, recognizes the vital role that well-maintained roads play in transforming local economies and fostering better livelihoods for its inhabitants. 

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Segun Kaka emphasized the significance of grassroots participation in identifying areas that necessitate immediate action. To ensure that all necessary road repairs and grading are carried out promptly, he encouraged residents, particularly farmers, to actively engage in providing detailed information and submit the names of the roads requiring utmost attention in their respective areas.

Hon. Kaka reassured the community that their submissions would be thoroughly reviewed, and that utmost significance would be given to addressing the urgent road grading requirements.

"By actively participating in this drive for infrastructural enhancement, rural dwellers and farmers shall play a major role in shaping the direction of their locality.

"The importance of a well-maintained network of roads is undeniable, especially in rural areas where agriculture is the backbone of the economy. Efficient transportation routes enable farmers to easily transport their products to markets, reducing spoilage and increasing profit margins. Additionally, significantly improved access to public services and emergency assistance is ensured when road conditions are enhanced.

Hon. Kaka expresses deep gratitude to the Governor of Ogun state, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON for his collaborative synergy, which has enabled the successful execution of initiatives. The effective partnership between the legislative and executive branches plays a crucial role in achieving shared goals for the betterment of the constituency and the state. This collaboration sets a positive example of working together for the advancement of our communities and the state as a whole.

Throughout the meeting, constituents expressed their heartfelt appreciation for Hon. Kaka's exceptional representation. 428 OGUN PILGRIMS RETURN FROM HAJJ 2025, LAND SAFELY IN NIGERIA

The first batch of Ogun State pilgrims who participated in the 2025 Hajj exercise have safely arrived back in Nigeria. The returnees, numbering 428, touched down at exactly 4:28 p.m. Nigerian time (6:28 p.m. Saudi time), following a successful take-off from Jeddah Airport at 12:07 p.m. Saudi time (10:07 a.m. Nigerian time). OGHA DIRECTS OJIBAS NIGERIA LTD, I.J. AMAKA TO SUSPEND MINING OPERATIONS OVER ROAD, ENVIRONMENTAL DEGRADATION

The Ogun State House of Assembly Committee on Environment has directed Ojibas Nigeria Limited and I.J. Amaka Group of Companies at Elegan Progressive Community in Obafemi Owode Local Government, to suspend their operations forthwith, following a petition over alleged illegal mining operations and environmental degradation. The Committee members led by the Chairman, Hon. Samisudeen Lawal, carried out an on-the-spot assessment of the mining sites in response to the petition addressed to the Speaker of the House titled: “Petition Against Illegal Mining Operations of Alhaji Tajudeen Abioye of Ojibas Nigeria Limited and I.J.
