PRICE HIKE/ CSR: OGHA RE-INVITES SIX QUARRY COMPANIES

 



Ogun State House of Assembly through its Committee on Industry, Trade and Investment has re-invited management teams of Andy CNC Quarry and Max Sanxin Quarry, Ijebu-Ode as well as Sino Trust/Multiverse Quarry and Huaya Quarry, IMOSAN to appear before it on Thursday, 3rd April, 2025 at 2.00pm prompt in respect of the petition against the companies by the State chapter of the Nigerian Union of Mine Workers.

Issuing the invitation today shortly after an interface with two out of the six quarries concerned that attended the meeting, the Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Adebisi Oyedele, warned others who failed to attend the meeting that the Assembly would not hesitate to invoke section 129 of the nation's constitution to issue a warrant on them to attend.

He noted that though, the of mining activities were under the exclusive list but the issues raised by the petitioner bothered on welfare, peaceful  co-existence and consumer protection which needs to the addressed.

He commended the representatives of the two companies who attended the meeting, reiterating that the State Assembly would continue to carry out its quasi-judicial function to promote peace and tranquility in all parts of the State.
