OGHA TO SCREEN COMMISSIONS' NOMINEES ON WEDNESDAY

 

Ogun State House of  Assembly has invited all Commissions' Nominees, whose names were contained in a list recently forwarded to the Assembly through a correspondence from the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON  for a screening exercise slated for tomorrow, Wednesday, 9th April, 2025 at 1.00pm prompt.

A release from the Deputy Clerk I, of the  House of Assembly,  Barr.  Funmi Adeyemi (Mrs) indicated that the venue of the screening is the Conference Room 215, of the  House of Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

The Commssions' nominees as earlier announced by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide included those of the Local Government Service Commission having Olubukunola Olivia Onabanjo as Chairman, while Hon. Lukman Olufemi Adiro, Martins Adekoyejo Ijaduoye, Olatunde Azeez Abiodun Osunbiyi and Olatunde Rasaki Rufai would serve as members.

For the State Teaching Service Commission, Apostle Abiodun Sanyaolu would serve as Chairman, while Olanrewaju Majekodunmi, Deola Akintonde, Hon. Adeleke Salmon ( Sonto), Hon. ( Mrs.) Atinuke Bello and Hon. Kemi Oduwole as members.

The State House of Assembly Service Commission has Rt. Hon. Suraj Ishola Adekunbi, as Chairman, while Samuel Ibidapo Odukoya, Alhaji Fasiu Ajadi and Hon. Folakemi J. Akintayo as members.

Also, the State Judicial Service Commission has Hon. Justice M. A. Dipeolu as Chairman, Hon. Justice Femi-Segun A. Olusola, Mr. Olusina Ogungbade, SAN Adeyemi Ademuyiwa,  Dr. Saheed Oyede and Adesola Ayoola- Elegbeji, as members

The release enjoined all the nominees to attend punctually.

428 OGUN PILGRIMS RETURN FROM HAJJ 2025, LAND SAFELY IN NIGERIA

The first batch of Ogun State pilgrims who participated in the 2025 Hajj exercise have safely arrived back in Nigeria. The returnees, numbering 428, touched down at exactly 4:28 p.m. Nigerian time (6:28 p.m. Saudi time), following a successful take-off from Jeddah Airport at 12:07 p.m. Saudi time (10:07 a.m. Nigerian time). This development was confirmed in a statement personally signed by the Amirul Hajj and leader of the Ogun State contingent, Alhaji Prince Samsudeen Adebayo Apelogun, who described the return as a significant milestone in the State’s 2025 Hajj operations. OGHA DIRECTS OJIBAS NIGERIA LTD, I.J. AMAKA TO SUSPEND MINING OPERATIONS OVER ROAD, ENVIRONMENTAL DEGRADATION

The Ogun State House of Assembly Committee on Environment has directed Ojibas Nigeria Limited and I.J. Amaka Group of Companies at Elegan Progressive Community in Obafemi Owode Local Government, to suspend their operations forthwith, following a petition over alleged illegal mining operations and environmental degradation. The Committee members led by the Chairman, Hon. Samisudeen Lawal, carried out an on-the-spot assessment of the mining sites in response to the petition addressed to the Speaker of the House titled: “Petition Against Illegal Mining Operations of Alhaji Tajudeen Abioye of Ojibas Nigeria Limited and I.J. Amaka Group of Companies and the Cruel Degradation of Elegan Communal Road and Environment,” and was jointly signed by residents of Elegan Progressive Community.
