APELOGUN FELICITATES OGUN SSG, TALABI ON LOYALTY, POLICY COORDINATION


Amir Hajj and the leader of the Ogun State contingent to Saudi Arabia, Alhaji Prince Samsudeen Adebayo Apelogun, has congratulated the Secretary to the Ogun State Government (SSG), Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a loyal scribe and a dedicated public officer who has diligently coordinated the implementation of the ISEYA development agenda of the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.

Apelogun, in a statement, lauded the unwavering commitment to excellence in public service of Talabi, particularly his ability to translate policy into action with admirable efficiency, discretion, and professionalism since the beginning of the present administration in 2019.

He highlighted the robust private sector experience of Talabi as a strong asset that has positively influenced policy coordination and administrative effectiveness in the State, making him a stabilizing force within the governance structure.

The Amir Hajj commended the SSG for his humility, loyalty, and consistent efforts in ensuring seamless inter-agency collaboration, noting that his behind-the-scenes contributions have been pivotal to the successful delivery of all the people-oriented programmes of the present administration.


Apelogun encouraged him to remain steadfast in supporting the the vision of the State Government and to keep playing his key role in deepening good governance across the State, with prays for continued wisdom, strength, and divine guidance.

428 OGUN PILGRIMS RETURN FROM HAJJ 2025, LAND SAFELY IN NIGERIA

The first batch of Ogun State pilgrims who participated in the 2025 Hajj exercise have safely arrived back in Nigeria. The returnees, numbering 428, touched down at exactly 4:28 p.m. Nigerian time (6:28 p.m. Saudi time), following a successful take-off from Jeddah Airport at 12:07 p.m. Saudi time (10:07 a.m. Nigerian time). OGHA DIRECTS OJIBAS NIGERIA LTD, I.J. AMAKA TO SUSPEND MINING OPERATIONS OVER ROAD, ENVIRONMENTAL DEGRADATION

The Ogun State House of Assembly Committee on Environment has directed Ojibas Nigeria Limited and I.J. Amaka Group of Companies at Elegan Progressive Community in Obafemi Owode Local Government, to suspend their operations forthwith, following a petition over alleged illegal mining operations and environmental degradation. The Committee members led by the Chairman, Hon. Samisudeen Lawal, carried out an on-the-spot assessment of the mining sites in response to the petition addressed to the Speaker of the House titled: “Petition Against Illegal Mining Operations of Alhaji Tajudeen Abioye of Ojibas Nigeria Limited and I.J.
