TALABI: A PILLAR BEHIND OGUN'S POLICY DRIVE – ACOMORAN


Amalgamated Commercial Tricycle & Motorcycle Owners, Repairers and Riders Association of Nigeria (ACOMORAN), Ogun State Chapter, celebrates the Secretary to the Ogun State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a silent achiever and a backbone of the present administration’s success.

According to a statement released by the Union's Chairman, Acom Kayode Sowunmi, " Mr. Talabi’s steady coordination of policies under Governor Dapo Abiodun’s ISEYA development agenda has brought structure, discipline, and clarity to governance. He noted that the unique ability of the SSG to harmonize policy directions and ensure results-oriented implementation stands him out as a strategic asset to the state.

He acknowledged the SSG’s contribution to the stability and development of the state’s transport architecture, citing his open-door approach to engagements with unions and stakeholders as a major boost to sustainable dialogue and sectoral growth. “He has never looked down on any group. Rather, he elevates conversations and supports mechanisms that foster inclusion and understanding,” he said.

The union through its chairman further lauded Mr. Talabi for being accessible, humble, and thoughtful in his interactions. He stated that informal sector operators, especially commercial tricycle and motorcycle riders, have enjoyed responsive governance and smoother policy communication due to the SSG’s people-centric administrative style.

While extending warm birthday wishes, the Chairman prayed for God’s continuous guidance and strength upon Mr. Talabi, urging him not to relent in his role as a dependable team player in driving Ogun State to greater heights.

428 OGUN PILGRIMS RETURN FROM HAJJ 2025, LAND SAFELY IN NIGERIA

The first batch of Ogun State pilgrims who participated in the 2025 Hajj exercise have safely arrived back in Nigeria. The returnees, numbering 428, touched down at exactly 4:28 p.m. Nigerian time (6:28 p.m. Saudi time), following a successful take-off from Jeddah Airport at 12:07 p.m. Saudi time (10:07 a.m. Nigerian time). OGHA DIRECTS OJIBAS NIGERIA LTD, I.J. AMAKA TO SUSPEND MINING OPERATIONS OVER ROAD, ENVIRONMENTAL DEGRADATION

The Ogun State House of Assembly Committee on Environment has directed Ojibas Nigeria Limited and I.J. Amaka Group of Companies at Elegan Progressive Community in Obafemi Owode Local Government, to suspend their operations forthwith, following a petition over alleged illegal mining operations and environmental degradation. The Committee members led by the Chairman, Hon.
