OGUN ASSEMBLY SUMMONS AGENT, PETITIONER’S LAWYER OVER JIBOWU LAND DISPUTE IN OBAFEMI-OWODE



The Ogun State House of Assembly Committee on Lands and Housing has invited Hon. Mutiu Adedeji, alleged agent to Mr. Moshood Olatokunbo, alongside the petitioner’s lawyer, Mr. Bukola Howells, to appear before it with all supporting documents on the ongoing land dispute at Jibowu Village in Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area.

The fresh summons followed a petition filed by Mr. Franklin Bashir Akins accusing Mr. Olakunle Olalekan Joseph, Mr. Mathew Akintoye and the Baale of Jibowu Village of compulsory land acquisition, land grabbing, and land racketeering at the Village.

The Committee, chaired by Hon. Damilola Soneye, in company of his Vice Chairman, Hon. Samsideen Lawal and other lawmakers including Honourables Olakunle Sobunkola, Lukman Adeleye, Lukmon Atobatele, Dickson Awolaja Waliu Owode, and Babatunde Tella, held a follow-up meeting today which had in attendance, the State Surveyor-General, Oladele Ewulo and Mr. Moshood Olatokunbo, who had earlier been invited for clarification on the matter.

The Chairman directed Mr. Olatokunbo to return with all documents backing his claims, as the Committee fixed Tuesday, 8th December 2025 at 12 noon for the continuation of the fact finding meeting.
